This shawl turned out great. The only issue I encountered was I had to add eight rows in order to make it wide enough to begin the border. I seem to crochet tighter, even though the test pattern seemed to be correct. But as long as you add rows in multiples of four, there’s no problem.
This worked up so beautiful and soft using the sport weight “I Love This Yarn” that I purchased another five balls in white and I’ve begun another one. The pattern is done with a repeat of two rows, so I found it necessary to use my row counter to keep track of how many I’d done to keep in multiples of four rows. But the pattern does say you can fudge when doing the foundation row of the border in case you don’t want to count.
I enjoyed how quickly it worked up, too. I may make another one in a blue shade before I move on to another pattern.
