Today I should be calling my son to wish him a happy birthday. Instead I’m sending happy birthday wishes through a prayer to God. Today he would be turning 50 and I can hear his voice now as he tells me he’s getting old. I’m holding in my heart all the other birthdays we celebrated and hearing the sound of his laughter. Kevin had a great sense of humor and he could always make me laugh.
May heaven ring with his laughter today as he dances on streets of gold with no more pain or suffering. Dance like you’ve never danced before, son.
I love you always.
