Don’t Stay Down, Take His Hand!

may2012-819x1024-819x1024Sunday is my day to have nothing on my schedule. I’m enjoying a cup of Earl Grey decaffeinated tea and thinking back to Sundays before my beloved hubby went home to Jesus.

When I look at this picture, it makes me smile. I mean, just look at the smiles on our faces! We were a matched set hand-picked by God to be together. Yes, I miss him, especially on Sundays, but I also rejoice that he is smiling and in the place he was always meant to be.

That’s the promise we have from God. I don’t want anyone to be left out of this inheritance which is ours for just believing in Jesus as the resurrected Lord and loving him with all our hearts, mind, strength and body.

One day I’ll see all my loved ones again. I’m so filled with love and joy at knowing this. No matter what might happen in this world, I know where I’m going when my time comes to leave this earth.

Yes, the prophecies foretold in the Bible are coming true, here in our lifetime. The stage is set for His return. We are told to be ready for the Day of the Lord. I’m not a perfect person. I’m a sinner who is trying to be a better person, but I make mistakes. However, our God is a loving God who forgives us when we ask.

No, I don’t think about things I can do which are sinful and then deliberately do them! But I stumble along my daily walk. The Holy Spirit reminds me of my sin, and I repent immediately.

I’ve probably talked way too much about myself and my daily walk today, but my hope is that anyone who fears they cannot be forgiven will know you can never fall too far down that God’s hand isn’t stretched out to pull you back up again. You  don’t have to be perfect. He does His most remarkable work through the most unlikely and imperfect people.

I can only tell you that if you make your confession and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you will be a changed person. Your heart will be changed forever and your life will become blessed. And one day you will rejoice and give praises in Heaven.

With Love and Blessings,

I Timothy
