That song popped into my head when I was browsing through old pictures of the back yard when Ron was the gardener and before lots of changes.
In reading one of my devotions this morning, Jesus reminded me to look at all things which are good, despite all that is happening in the world around me. He said to focus on Him, to look right! When I get caught up in thinking about the terrible things going on, I feel very sad. I can get drawn into negativity and as my grandmother would say, “the world is going to hell in a handbasket!”
But when I keep my eyes focused on the good things, the blessings, I am filled with hope, because I see Gods’ hand! He is alive and working in all things 24×7. He doesn’t rest. Looking at the sunshine reminds me of God’s glory and brightness. Birds in flight remind me of how God cares for all His creations. And in the flowers, I see renewal.
Today, I will keep my eyes on all things good.
“Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy–meditate on these things.” — Philippians 4:8
Wishing you a blessed day!
