Goodbye 2016, Welcome 2017

Burning Fire2016 is nearly over. The fire represents the burning of the past and the passion of fire for the new year of 2017. I’m ready for the new year. How about you?

I’ve been praying about new goals for 2017. Personal goals as well as writing goals. For the past year, I’ve struggled with aligning my passion to write with God’s plan for my gift. I only knew I wasn’t comfortable with staying in the fictional genre I’ve been writing for the past 8 years.

Doubts assailed me when I thought about changing direction. Doubts that stopped me dead in my tracks. Only through prayer have I come to realize God would never stifle my writing. He is the One who gave this gift to me. Satan is the author of doubt. It is his powerful weapon used to turn us away from God’s call.

It’s time to revamp the blogging schedule and my entire focus. The opening page for my website will now be the Books tab. All the blog entries for this new focus will appear as tabs on the menu line.

I’m so excited about the new focus for both my journey of faith and my writing direction. I hope you’ll come along with me!

For the blog direction, here are the plans/goals:

Monday: a scripture verse, which I’ve chosen to memorize and why. This year one of my personal goals is to memorize a scripture verse a week. At the end of the year I’ll have added 52 verses to recall when needed. If you’d like to join me, just click on the tab Scripture Verses.

Wednesday: Morning Cup of Tea Inspirational Thoughts. You can read them by clicking on the Morning Cup of Tea tab.

Friday: Writing Updates. This will be where I share the highs and lows of the week from an author’s point of view. It will also be where you can learn more info about the books I’m working on. To read them, click on the Inside the Writer’s Mind tab.

Sunday: This will be the place where I post the weekly Bible Study Info for those who are doing the 3-Year Bible Study with me. I’ll post the verses to be read for the week and some things to think about regarding the readings. To read them, click on the 3-Year Bible Study tab.

If you are like me and forget to check out blogs, you can receive all of my weekly blogs in your email box by signing up. There is a link to add your email information to subscribe at the top right hand side of my website! Wishing you and yours a happy and healthy 2017! Say goodbye to the old and embrace the new!
