Welcome, September. You have come unexpectedly. So quickly. And yet, 2021 has been a long, long year. Something not usual for one who has reached the winter season of life when time passes in a blink of an eye.
Time to think about fall harvests, pumpkin decorations, apple pie, and cider. A time of cooling air, crunch leaves underfoot, neon yellow and red coats on trees. The realization that Thanksgiving and Christmas are getting closer. And a new year.
What will each bring? For me, I will focus on the happy possibilities. The anticipation of family gatherings, and the first snowfall. The memories forged in love in the past as I decorate this year’s Christmas tree. The closeness of God in the warmth of my home. The promise that the future will be even better when I leave this temporary home.
God is good. Life is good. Hello and welcome, September!
Lifting my cup of tea and wishing you warm and loving hugs.
Lifting my glass of tea with yours and sending you warm and loving hugs.
