Wowzer! (Finnegan’s Diary)

This new home is awesome! I have lots of toys to play with and my favorite is a mouse. It smells so good! I chase it everywhere and if I lose it under the sofa, my mommy finds it and gives it back!

I discovered windows yesterday. At least that’s what mommy calls these things where I can see birds! Lots of birds! I like to watch them. Most of all, though, I like to be in the same room as my mommy.

Last night I jumped on her bed and snuggled as close as I could so she would pet me. We stayed like that for a while, but then I had to go check on my mouse. When I came back, I decided to pounce on mommy’s legs under the covers! What fun! I’m not sure if she liked it as much as I did, though. But she never shouts at me.

Life is so different for me now. I always have food to eat, water to drink, and all the petting I want. There’s fun things to do and I don’t have to stay in a cage to feel safe. I know she won’t let anything hurt me.

My hair is growing back a little now. I’ll be happy to have all of it again. But mommy doesn’t laugh at me. She loves me even with this bad hair cut! I’m a lucky Finnegan!
