Listening to the radio as I drove to church on Sunday morning, I heard the following question: “Who is God to you?” Immediately I began listing: Father, Savior, Friend, Healer, Comforter, Companion, Teacher, Leader, Guide, Family, Truth, Light, Redeemer, Creator, Counselor, Love, Goodness, Peacemaker, Everything…
As I have aged, God has revealed Himself to me in so many ways. He truly lifted me from long-ago pits into the light of His goodness. He is my constant companion, whom I sometimes take for granted, though I shouldn’t.
As I lift my cup of tea this morning, I ask you to think about who He is to you. Not just naming nouns, but truly feeling who He is personally.
